Muslim Womens Network
We operate a national specialist faith and culturally sensitive helpline that is confidential and non-judgmental, which offers information, support, guidance and referrals for those who are suffering from or at risk of abuse or facing problems on a range of issues.
Although our reach is primarily Muslim women, the helpline will accept calls from and support women of any faith or no faith. For example, the culturally sensitive nature of the helpline could easily support Asian women of other faiths. Men who are concerned about women and girls should also call the helpline.
If men and boys need support, for example, at risk of forced marriage, then they should also call the helpline.
Muslim Youth Helpline
Our core service is a free and confidential Helpline, available nationally via the telephone, email, live chat and letters. The service uses male and female volunteers trained in basic counselling skills to respond to client enquiries.
We respond to any issues that our clients call us about. In line with our non-judgmental ethos we treat all enquiries seriously. The majority of our Helpline volunteers are under the age of 30 years of age as our services are targeted at young people. However we take calls from people of all ages and backgrounds and don’t turn anyone away.
The Survivors Trust is the largest umbrella agency for specialist rape and sexual abuse services in the UK and has been providing infrastructure support to our members for the past 15 years. We have 124 member agencies based in the UK and Ireland providing information, advice, support and therapy to over 80,000 individual survivors each year.
Our services work with victims and survivors of all ages, all genders, of all forms of sexual violence, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation, including support for partners and family members.
