The Freedom Programme examines the roles played by attitudes and beliefs on the actions of abusive people and the responses of victims and survivors. The aim is to help them to make sense of and understand what has happened to them, instead of the whole experience just feeling like a horrible mess.
The Freedom Programme also describes in detail how children are affected by being exposed to this kind of abuse and very importantly how their lives are improved when the abuse is removed.
The programme usually lasts for 11 or 12 weeks and is FREE. It provided by hundreds of agencies across the UK. Some of them are rolling so you can join at any time but this varies according to local needs, etc.
27 Week Domestic Abuse Programme (CDAP)
The Community Domestic Abuse Programme is a rolling programme of evening sessions. It is designed to help men who feel their behaviour towards their partner has been, or is still, abusive. Kent CDAP challenges that behaviour and shows you how it affects your partner or ex-partner and any children that may be involved.
We know it can be tough facing up to difficult problems. This programme will support you to make the changes you need to develop respectful, non-abusive relationships so that you are safe around your partner and any children.
The 27-week evening programme focuses on the intentions, beliefs and effects underpinning domestic abuse, including learning strategies for overcoming abusive and controlling behaviour. Partners of participants are supported throughout the programme.
The first step is to decide if you want to change your behaviour. After that, contact us and we will offer an interview to assess your suitability.

No one should have to suffer domestic abuse, and our experienced and understanding family law solicitors will provide you with practical advice about what you can do if you find yourself in such a situation. If necessary we can obtain urgent court orders to protect you and your children.
If you are suffering from any form of domestic abuse from a partner, former partner, or other family member, our experienced family law solicitors will be able to offer you practical and tailored advice and assistance to help protect you and your children.
We are able to deal with applications to the court (on an emergency basis where necessary) to seek injunction orders to protect you and your children from domestic abuse. We are able to seek orders forbidding the other party from having any contact with you (and your children if necessary), as well as orders which will prevent the other party from coming to your home.
In certain circumstances we may also be able to provide you with free legal advice and representation (subject to you qualifying for legal aid).
Stilwell and Singleton Solicitors
We are able to advise and represent clients who are desperate to shake off the horrifying and damaging effects of domestic abuse and to keep it out of their lives forever. We will represent victims in Court and help them obtain immediate injunctions against violent and abusive partners and to enforce those injunctions when they are breached.
In appropriate cases we will apply to the Court to remove the abusers from any home they share with the victim. As it is a serious criminal offence to disobey the terms of a Court Order, the Police are notified of all injunctions obtained.
In the majority of cases we can obtain Legal Aid for our clients and, in very urgent cases, we can be in Court on the same day that we receive instructions.
If you wish to discuss your legal issues with us, we can offer an initial consultation at a fixed rate.

We understand domestic abuse is a particularly serious situation and we act instinctively and sensitively. How you wish to communicate with us is to your discretion and we will act accordingly.
