If you are directly suffering from domestic abuse and what you are experiencing is particularly serious go into your local police station for help. If you or your family are in immediate danger don't be afraid to call the police on 999.

Alternatively, you can contact the freephone 24 hour National Domestic Violence Helpline run in partnership between Women's Aid and Refuge on 0808 2000 247.

'I am in an abusive relationship'
If you are suffering from domestic abuse, there is help available from people who understand what you've been going through and won't blame or judge you.
'A friend of mine is being abused'
If a friend or family member is in an abusive relationship they will need help and support. Find out how you can help them and services they can contact.

Are you feeling threatened, intimated or hurt by your partner? Remember, it isn't your fault and you're not to blame. Get help and advice here.
