    Independent Domestic Violence Advisor Service

Kent Probation intends to commission on behalf of the Kent Criminal Justice Board and other agencies across Kent and Medway an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) service. The main purpose of the service is to work with domestic abuse victims, specifically supporting the work of Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs) and the Specialist Domestic Violence Courts (SDVCs) across Kent and Medway, with the aim of reducing the harmful effects domestic abuse has on its victims.

The contract is anticipated to run for three years and commence on or about 1st April 2013.

In order to gauge the marketís interest and shape the final requirements of the service, we wish to carry out a market engagement exercise in December 2012. Following the exercise we will be issuing a contract notice in January 2013. We are now inviting expressions of interest from suitable providers of such services to participate in this market engagement exercise and attend a briefing event to be held at the Weald of Kent Hotel and Business Centre, near Maidstone, Kent, on 11th December 2012. The event will also provide an opportunity for potential providers to meet each other with a view to forming bid consortiums.

Potential providers who are interested in participating in this market engagement exercise should in the first instance express an interest by email to business.development@kent.probation.gsi.gov.uk no later than 1200hrs (noon) on Friday 7th December 2012.
