Medway Domestic Abuse Floating Support Service
Local Service

Domestic Abuse Floating Support is a housing related, community support service. Open to both men and women aged 16 & over living in the Medway area who are or have recently experienced domestic abuse and have housing issues.

Centra Care and Support deliver support to individuals deemed standard to medium risk.

Once we have received your referral, a Floating Support Officer will arrange a time to complete a needs assessment with you.

Working with you, your Floating Support Officer will identify risk through a risk assessment and how your needs can be met, by completing a support plan. You will then work together to achieve these goals.

The Floating Support Officer will see you at your home if it is safe to do so or at an arranged venue on a regular basis. Support can last up to a maximum of 24 months depending upon your individual needs.

Centra Care and Support also provide a housing support service for Medway Housing Options Team at The Sunlight Centre every Wednesday. This is to assess domestic abuse risk and current housing issues. All appointments for this are booked by the Housing Options Team at Medway Council.
